Hi guys Having only just successfully installed pwnpad ce onto my Nexus 7, I am wondering if I should let the device do a system update? Also should I let it update the apps etc? Possibly a very dumb question, but "you don't know what you don't know" Thanks |

From the official PwnPad User Manual: http://www.pwnieexpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/PwnPadUserManual1.pdf WARNING: DO NOT UPGRADE THE ANDROID OS! Supported updates for the Pwn Pad will be provided by Pwnie Express (see http :// pwnieexpress . com / pages / downloads for latest updates). Upgrading the Android OS directly is not supported and may affect wireless packet injection and external adapter capabilities. Most us here on this board are testing binky's KaliPwn edition, its up to you what version to use, but KaliPwn is superior. You can use a more updated Rom (I am using 4.4.2) and also have more updated set of pentest tools. (Backtrack vs Kali). |

grantm as far as upgrading the apps you should be fine but you should definitely not upgrade the Android OS. If you upgrade the Android OS you will loose your root, kernel, and your pwnpad os. Chances are anyways that if you even tried to upgrade the OS that it would not take. It would give you an error while upgrading. Wait for Pwnie Express to do their updates. Congrats on getting PwnPad CE on your Nexus 7 you are using the 2012 edition right?.... |
