I'm new to pwn pad, so forgive me for asking, what perhaps might be, a silly question. Nevertheless, it would make my life so much easier if I were able to use an android file manager, such as Astro (recommended), to navigate to places where the "root shell" stats you in. For example, I would like to navigate with Astro File Manager (or any other android-based file manager) to the "captures" directory and view the capture files, open them in an android-based editor and perhaps export them (without a cable) via the gmail client. Could this be done? How? Thanks! Carlos |

You need a file manager that requests root access. I don't know if Astro does but there is also the Cyanogenmod File Manager you can get from F-droid for free. You just need to go into settings and give it root access. Root file explorer I think is another one out there. Your capture folder will probably be in /data/local/kali/opt/pwnix/captures <--just a guess. |

Smanager works well. There is a free version. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=os.tools.scriptmanager&hl=en Root Broswer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree&hl=en Just a few other options. As binkybear suggested, Root Explorer works well too. Also, even though its not related to root browsing, I would suggest installing 'Servers Ultimate' which is a very handy program for making your device act as just about any type of server. Which could be great for practice pen-testing. I use the FTP server option alot for easy file transfers. Incredible program. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.icecoldapps.serversultimate&hl=en Edited by 0ld3nglish800, Feb 26 2014, 10:49 AM.

As part of my pwnpack 2014CE edition coming soon, I have a log copy script that archives everything in the captures folder and copies to /SD card so Android (ASTRO or any other) can see it. Not exactly what you asked but should help. |

0ld3nglish800, Those are some excellent suggestions. Thank you. I think I even have 'Servers Ultimate' but didn't think about using it on the pwnpad. Excellent suggestion. Thanks! Carlos |
