Hi can anyone tell me where wifite looks for a word list when cracking wpa handshake?. As wifite allways exits cos there is no wordlist for it to use thanks. |

Easiest thing is just open up wifite and look. It's usually in your /usr/bin so:
The path is here: WPA_DICTIONARY = "PATH TO WORDLIST" |

Hi thanks for the reply but quite new to Linux and not shure what u mean. All I need to know is when attacking wpa where duz wifite look ( by defult) for a wordlist. |

If the WPA/WPA2 handshake has been acquired, it is by design WiFite will exit and not make any attempt to crack the key. This is because the process of cracking the key is intensive and a "battery killer" if it were to be attempted on a Pwn Pad. Instead, it is recommended to copy the associated .cap file to a desktop/laptop then run aircrack-ng against it. |
